Stephen Kirtley is an Audit Director who works with businesses and not-for-profit entities including many charities to provide them with the audit and assurance services and financial reporting advice they need.

Stephen knows that quality audit services create confidence in your organization. This comes from first understanding your business and its challenges and the risks and control environment of your organization. His approach is to address those risks to undertake the audit in the most efficient and effective way. This may include the use of data analytic techniques to test the entire population of available data. He also knows that performing an audit provides a valuable insight into the way an organization operates, and as part of the audit regularly provides recommendations for improvements in internal controls and efficiencies.

Stephen has controlled the external audits of large government agencies, private businesses and a wide variety of not-for-profit entities including charities and sporting clubs. He has also performed internal audits of many government funded entities.

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Company Auditor, Registered Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Auditor, External Examiner (law practice trust accounts) and Registered Auditor (Fair Work – Registered Organisations Act).

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University.
