Troy Nolan – Q and A

When did you join our team, and where were you working before joining us?

I joined the Davidsons team in March 2016 and was lucky enough to commence straight out of university.

Did you grow up locally, and what is your favourite part of living in the Geelong area?

I am local to Geelong and grew up within the Belmont area. My favourite part of living in Geelong is how central the location is; it is very handy being 45 minutes from Melbourne and only being 20/30 minutes away from the coast.

Why did you choose to become an accountant?

I chose Accounting as my career as I enjoyed working with numbers, and was interested in the business advisory side of being an Accountant.

How would your colleagues describe you?

“Troy can be the life of the party and the most approachable team member, when you get down to it though, he is the guy you can always depend on to have your back and always have his team’s best interests at heart. He is 100% devoted to his clients and will go above and beyond to ensure they are looked after in all aspects.” – Pauline Killen

What is a fact that people may not know about you?

I hate cucumber.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you visit and why?

I would love to visit England – especially when the Ashes are on.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Being a part of a close-knit TBS Geelong team that support, challenge, and learn with each other is extremely satisfying.

What has been the most rewarding experience in your time with us?

Working with Karingal as a volunteer for the big day out at Adventure Park. Davidsons gave me the opportunity to provide support to people with disabilities which was a very rewarding personal experience.

Why do you love working with your clients?

I love working with my clients because it has allowed me to not only develop professional relationships, but also personal ones which allow me to get to know my clients on another level.
