“Survive” or “Thrive” Business Seminar

Davidsons were excited to be part of the Geelong Small Business Festival recently, holding a seminar encouraging attendees to think about their business and how it is positioned to ‘thrive or survive’.  Attendees included business owners from various industries as well as several individuals in the process of establishing their business or considering doing so.

The event, presented by way of a Q&A panel, outlined the current risks and concerns faced by SMES’s as established in our 2018 SME Research Report.  These concerns were expanded by way of real life examples, allowing for audience participation and discussion.  Not surprisingly, regardless of the type of businesses in attendance, many of the challenges faced by business owners were the same.

The top 5 concerns facing SME’s per the 2018 SME Research Report are:

  • Business planning
  • Protecting your business and family assets
  • Stress and lifestyle
  • Cash flow
  • Declining sales and profit

Our 2018 SME Research Report is different; it doesn’t just provide statistics. Throughout the Report SME business owners comment and share ideas on how they are growing, improving, reducing stress and succeeding in their businesses.  Small business owners need to continually evolve the way they do business if they are to survive and thrive.  Planning is the key to future succusses.

The key take out for attendees was the importance of Business Planning.  Businesses that documented a formal business plan for the next one to three years and were accountable had a direction and tended to be more successful.  We are able assist with the preparation of a strategic and business plan that addresses your concerns.

We will be holding another Survive” or “Thrive” Business Seminars in the coming months.  To register your interest or to get a copy of the 2018 SME Research Report simply click on the contact us link.
