Davidsons is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Partridge as the new director of Davidsons Assurance Services, effective 1 July 2024. Lucy steps into this role as Stephen Wight retires after 36 years of dedicated service to our firm. 

Lucy brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having worked in public practice in the UK for over a decade before joining Davidsons in 2017. Starting as an audit senior, Lucy quickly progressed to audit manager, demonstrating her exceptional skills and leadership qualities. 

“We’ve been working on this succession plan for the past three years,” says outgoing director Stephen Wight. “I’m confident Lucy will be a success in this role. She’s already made significant improvements to our audit team, bringing us up to speed technically and managing and controlling the workflow.” 

In her new role, Lucy will oversee our audit division, continuing to build on Stephen’s strong foundation. She will focus on maintaining our high service standards while bringing fresh perspectives to our audit approach. 

Lucy is excited about the opportunities ahead: “I’m looking forward to engaging with clients at a higher level and building new relationships. We’ve worked very hard to ensure a smooth transition for our clients – it should be business as usual, just with a different name signing the audit report.” 

Managing Director Justin McGrath expresses confidence in Lucy’s appointment: “Lucy has a great balance of knowledge and the ability to connect with people. She’s friendly and approachable but is also strong in her views when necessary. These qualities make her an excellent advisor in the audit space. She’s going to be a fantastic addition to our director group.”
