Single Touch Payroll reporting starts from 1 July 2018 for employers with 20 or more employees. To ensure you are ready there are things you need to start addressing now!

To find out if you need to be ready by 1 July 2018 you need to do a headcount of the employees you have on your payroll on 1 April 2018.

If you have 20 or more employees on that date you will be classified as a ‘substantial employer’ and you will need to report through Single Touch Payroll from July 1 2018.

How these changes may affect you:

  • You will need to review your existing software to ensure it will be ready for Single Touch Payroll reporting
  • If you don’t currently have a Payroll solution you will need to choose a Payroll solution that is Single Touch Payroll enabled and that suits your business – we can help!
