TRAINING PROVIDED

Davidsons has developed an internal training program to assist in the professional development of their team.

This internal training program is scheduled by the Tax Consulting Division of the firm in conjunction with the Tax & Business Services and Audit & Aussurance Division to ensure suitable and relevant topics are presented.

The training program covers all areas of income tax law and compliance issues as well as topics such as estate planning, asset protection, business valuations, budgeting, superannuation, benchmarking, insolvency and indirect taxes.

The training program is segmented into three groups.  This ensures that the technical content delivered to each group is relevant to the level of knowledge of the team members within each group.

Allocation of a team member to a Training Group is determined by the team member’s role within the firm as follows -:

                Training Group 1     -     Directors and Managers
                Training Group 2     -     Senior Accountants
                Training Group 3     -     Accountants & Graduates

Whilst most training sessions are conducted by Directors and Senior Managers of the firm, four to five times per annum we engage external presenters to conduct sessions.

In addition to the formal internal training program, Davidsons promote the Structured Education program conducted by the Taxation Institute of Australia and have introduced policies that ensure where appropriate, all new team members undertake the relevant program to assist in developing their taxation knowledge.

Davidsons has a minimum standard of professional development that is required for each professional team member. This minimum standard varies depending on the role they perform but it is compulsory for all professional team members to attend the internal training program conducted by the firm and where necessary, to attend external courses nominated by the firm..
