Peter Rankin
B.Bus, CPA
Chief Executive Officer

As CEO Peter is responsible for performance & growth of all facets of the business. Peter has a breadth of experience in business strategy, transition advice & leadership development.

Peter has strong relationships with his community and is currently President of Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club.

Key specialisations include: Strategic Planning and Leadership Development.

Ian Sweet
B.Com, CPA, Registered Tax Agent, Member Institute of Internal Auditors
Director in charge of Internal Audit and Business Valuations

Ian commenced at Davidsons in 2000 and has worked in Public Practice for 16 of the 31 years since he graduated from Deakin University in 1979. Ian spent 6 years as a CFO in the Health and Aged Care Sector, 2 years with Target in Management Accounting and 7 Years in the Finance sector in roles ranging from Internal Audit to Managing large lending projects.

Key specialisations include: Business Valuations, Due Diligence and Business Succession Planning, Internal Audit and Risk Profile Reviews, Costing and Management Reporting.

 

Stephen Wight
B Com, CA, Registered Company Auditor
Director Audit and Assurance Services

Stephen leads an audit team that provides a full suite of external and internal audit services. Stephen has been a Director at Davidsons since 1998 also consults in the areas of aged care and health services.

Key specialisations include: Aged care and health services.

Steven Skoglund
B.Bus, Masters Taxation, CA, Fellow Tax Institute.
Director Taxation and Superannuation Division

Steven has over 25 years experience in public accounting, with experience obtained in all aspects of private business and taxation consulting. To assist in superannuation strategy advice Steven is an authorised representative of Professional Investment Services. Steven joined Davidsons in 1994 after experience with a national chartered accountancy firm and has been a Director since 2001.

Key specialisations include: Taxation for business succession including estate planning and retirement/superannuation strategy.

Clinton Fraser
B.Bus, CA
Director Tax and Business Services

Clinton has been in the public practice sphere since graduating from RMIT in 1995. After initially working at Ernst and Young and achieving his Chareted Accountancy qualifications, Clinton joined Davidsons in 1999 and became a Director of Davidsons in July 2007.

Clinton is currently the Director of Tax and Business Services and shares his time between the Geelong office and the recently established Torquay Office.

Clinton has recently graduated from the Geelong Leadership program and is in the process of finalizing a Graduate Diploma in Management.  With a commitment to community engagement Clint is currently a member of two not for profit boards in the Geelong region

Clinton lives in Torquay with his wife and two children and when not enjoying his time with his family Clint makes the most of the outdoors lifestyle Torquay affords by surfing, swimming, cycling and running.

Justin McGrath
B.Com, CPA
Director Tax and Business Services

Justin has a Bachelor of Commerce completed at Deakin University in 1992. For 4 years Justin worked in a Sales and Management position within the Building & Construction Industry. In 1996 he commenced his accounting career with a Geelong Accounting firm. Justin joined Davidsons in November 1997 and became a Director of Davidsons in July 2007.

Key specialisations include: Building and Construction and Property Development industry including all structuring CGT and GST matters that affect this sector.


Maree Clifton
B.Com, CPA.
Director Tax and Business Services

Maree joined Davidsons in 1995 after internal accounting roles within the hotel industry. Maree studied part time to complete her degree while working full time and graduated from Deakin University in 1995. Maree became a Director of Davidsons in July 2007.

Key specialisations include: Hospitality sector including Hotels, Restaurants and Cafe's; Budget Forecasting and Quickbooks Accreditation.

 

Kylie McEwan
CPA, ATIA
Director Tax Consulting

Kylie joined Davidsons in September 1999 and since then has balanced her Bachelor of Commerce and CPA studies whilst working full time with our firm. Commencing in our Tax and Business Services Division, Kylie moved into a specialised Tax Consulting role in January 2007.

Ross Deeath
B.Com, Dip Financial Planning, CPA, Certified Financial Planner, Authorised representative of Professional Investment Services.
Director Davidsons Financial Services

Ross founded Davidsons Financial Planning after considerable experience working as a financial planner at NAB, Deloitte and Johnson Taylor. Ross is also a qualified Accountant.

Key specialisations include: Personal Financial Advice and Retirement Planning.

Tim Buckley
B.Bus (Banking and Finance), Diploma of Financial Planning, Accredited Self Managed Superannuation Fund Specialisation, Authorised representative of Professional Investment Services.
Director Davidsons Financial Services

Tim has worked as a financial planner since 2001. His previous roles have been with MLC and two boutique financial planning practices. Prior to 2001, Tim had a 10 year career with The Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC).Tim joined the Davidsons team in October 2004 and became a Director in July 2005.

Key specialisations include: Self Managed Superannuation and Wealth Accumulation.

Graeme Crofts
Authorised representative of Professional Investment Services
Director Davidsons Personal Insurance Services

Graeme commenced in the Financial Services Industyry in 1994 as a Person Risk Insurance Specialist Adviser. His vast experience includes broker representation looking after clients needs for Life Insurance, Total and Permanent Disablement Insurance, Trauma cover and Income Protection.

Key specialisations include: Providing insurance for shareholder and buy sell agreements for business operators.
